TC camping along the Erie canal NYS
Anyone have experience of camping (and maybe putting in a canoe)along the Erie canal. Sights to see and things to do?

Lists nearby attractions for each location. It sounds like a fun theme based trip. We stay at an RV park on the Mohawk near Schenectady on our way west. It's very peaceful. - I have stopped for lunch many times at lock 11 between Whitehall and Ft. Ann . I asked the attendant about overnighting and they said no problem .
