I have never had a B but did have what they call a B+. The difference from a C is that the B+ does not have the overhead bed, but rather a much shortened (so you can see up into the mountains) overhang.
I could not wait to go back to a T/C and the one I bought had a bigger bed (six inches longer), a bigger shower, a bigger dinette, more counter space, more inside storage, a lot less outside storage, an oven instead of a horrible microwave/convection unit that requires electricity.
So, we carry our Honda 2K in the extended cab, use it extremely rarely, but we live in a temperate climate, not Texas. If you like the idea of having a bed always set up and ready to use, your T/C will provide that. If you like a couch to lay out on, and can turn it into sleeping at night, your B will give you that.
There are ways to set up your 1 Ton truck so that it carry your load safely without being over any individual restriction other than your GVW or official axle weight (which is based on tires supplied by the factory when it rolled off the assembly line).
Lots of things to consider for sure, but in the end, you will love your T/C if you get a big enough truck to carry it.
