Howdy - late into the conversation, but maybe some insight... Former Northstar TC owner, now Roadtrek 'B'. What I miss about my TC - it was on a 4wd p/u - never really worried about getting stuck! What I DON'T miss about my TC - LOTS more space in the 'B'! As others said - entire cab becomes part of the living space - swivel seats around for the table, etc. Able to go from drivers seat to living space without getting out of vehicle. May not seem like a "biggy" right now, but rather than having to pull off the highway to run around back to climb in to pee, just climb out of drivers seat in breakdown lane if necessary!!! Also, for Flying J/Wallydocking nights, if I don't like the neighbors who arrive at 0200, I just hop in the driver's seat and leave... DW can even make sandwiches while we're on the road! I could get a 4wd van and solve the "stuck" worry (which, BTW, has never materialized - I still carry tire chains, come-along, etc. from the TC...), but I can't move from cab to coach on any TC (Tigers excepted - nice looking rigs but $$$!), and I don't need to move duffle bags from the camper to the cab for the night - that cab space is still fully functional/accessible. As long as I'm careful I take our 'B' on many Forest service-type roads. Just haven't forded any streams with it! Part of our decision to switch was the more difficult access to the camper (multiple steps to truck bed height) and also access to the camper bed itself. Might not be an issue for everyone, but became one in our case. As you can see by the map in my signature we've logged plenty of miles on our 'B'. Hope this helps with decision-making! ST
