My wife and I have been all over the western USA and into Canada. Up to 16 days at a time. My daughter in the top bunk, my twin boys shared the fold out bed until about age 11. Now one sleeps on the floor under the fold out. We take our Boxer on the shorter trips. It's never been a problem for us. We consider it a fancy tent with a bathroom. We stay out side as much as possible and do a lot of cooking outside. That's what you went for anyway. Although some of our best memories have been huddled in the camper playing games during a thunderstorm.
