If you are planning on winter use at ski resorts, a TC is the easier choice. I've been driving up to Tahoe during storms for 15 years and have NEVER seen anyone towing a TT during a blizzard. I've seen a few A's and C's, but mostly TC's. You don't see TT's until it gets warm in the spring. Even if there was no snow on the road, parking will be a problem.
My home ski resort Kirkwood often has a lot of TC's in the parking lot, and that is one of the top 3 resorts for snowfall in North America. It's just a lot easier putting together a 4WD winterized package going with a TC.
