Funny how some folks think kids are a problem in a TC. The Mrs. and I very often meet our son and wife with their kids at NF campgrounds and spend 2-4 days with no issues. Yes, 4 adults and two kids (6&8) and we all fit just fine thank you. If you don't like to live outside then the TC will become claustrophobic after awhile, but we all get along and have a great time. Mrs. and I sleep in the cab over queen, son (6'3")& wife on the dinette bed, which is 78" long, kids on the floor. Our AF996 works out great with two slides for a more open feeling and has longer, more comfortable beds than Class A types that we'd rented. YMMV, but if you like mobility and less hassle for setup/teardown, for my money, you can't beat a TC.
