I read the article also, I would prefer to have a fixed panel on the roof. Our old Lance has this (not sure of the size, probably not much more than 80 watts) & this keeps our batteries charged when we are boonie camping. Just for reasons mentioned I don't particularly want to move the thing around & then have to store it somewhere! Other than this I did like the new slide Illusion model, still a $30k msrp though. For that kind of money I would have to think strongly about spending almost the same amt $$ for a wood framed versus aluminum frame. I know there's advantages for both, but this is getting off the subject! Sorry
