Of course, we all use our TCs differently, but I call BS on 5 cycles of in and out in an entire day driving someone batty unless they are almost there already. ;) I'm still wondering how many times actually need something from the back, but really quickly. In the case of barely making it, the time to open the slide could in theory be a consideration, but for that a Class A/B/C would be better.
I also don't think wear and tear is an important consideration unless you are buying a first or second generation slide equipped TC. I'm sure that some of the first slides were fragile because I know by 2006, Host changed their approach a few times, Snow River obviously did, Lance did, Okanogan did, and so did many other manufacturers.
