Terminating propane line

Is it a big deal to cap the propane line to my furnace? I put in a new blue flame heater so I don't use the furnace that was originally put in my trailer? Can it leak LP overtime into the trailer ?

  • If you decide to cap it, make absolutely sure that you use the right fitting. I've seen flared, reverse flared, and NPT fittings all on a single line.
  • It is still connected and in the trailer, I will leave it as is for now.
  • When you cap the propane line, don't forget to check for leaks with soapy water, etc..
  • use something like this

Flare nut cap either male or female
  • IS original furnace still in place or removed?

IF in place just leave propane connected.
If removed propane has too be capped off.

Either way propane would not leak into RV UNLESS something was done wrong.
