I would venture a guess that the majority of trucks never see any real "work" and are just grocery getters (based on my completely unscientific observations), I can see where an EV truck would have appeal at the right price point. I still think that price will be the sticking point since with the cars, Tesla can claim to complete with the likes of BMW/Mercedes/Audi, etc that are at similar price points. The competition in the pick-up line will be markedly different, plus they will be dealing with very strong brand loyalty. If they come in at 80-100K, it won't be competitive with other makers 150/1500 series trucks. Some people will buy it as a "status" symbol, but I don't think most truck buyers are going to pay that kind of premium to get one. Now if they can come in with a fairly loaded one at the 50-55K range, they could have a winner.
