This must just be the fancier name for using, say, an F150 as prototype or proof of concept.
I'm sure that with Tesla's technology, they've already designed and calculated the power train requirements using just their computers.
F150 is the best candidate with it's light body construction.
Powertrain to match ANY one ton diesel is already in place.
I assume the engineering is more about frame/load carrying along with occupant comfort/convenience.
I for one hope the bed and ride height can be reduced as the trucks today seem to keep getting taller to the point many 5th wheels are nose high and you need to be 6'2"+ to see/reach over the bed rail to grab something.
