Forget the survey monkeys and self proclaimed pundits. Check with your actual utility. Is SATX San Antonio TX? Is that CPS energy?
CPS Energy is embracing plug-in vehicles
Jersey Central seems to encourage EVs
As for that single wire power transmission line.... is your phone still on a party line too? Perfect reason to pull the other two wires and get proper three phase power to your area. How long do you plan to have this out dated line limit the local economy and growth? Dang it this is America... get moving already. We were once a nation of doers instead of whiners.
So two utilities speak for all 500+ utilities? Notice I capitalized ALL when I said that. And yes, my city has spots for EV's for publicity, but that does not mean it's whole grid and the surrounding areas it supports is capable.
Also, are actually purposely dismissing info (even from a pro EV agency) just because it is not what you want to beleive? And you guys wonder why nobody takes Tesla seriously. Instead admitting that we do not currently have the infrastructure (which is fact) and will not in at least the next 10 years in most areas of the US(which another fact), you guys say it is fake news because it does not fit your narrative.
I'll admit that Tesla has better batteries and motors than other EV's and most of what he wants will eventually happen in the small car segment, but it will NOT happen in the timeline they are expecting due to many big hurdles with some being out of Tesla's control. Now I don't expect you guys to admit that because saying anything negative about the Tesla god is blasphemy to you guys.
