Let me put it this wa, if the GM and the Chrysler’s are not so backward that they can’t even have the basic technology to produce low emission-low MPG vehicles, then they don’t even have to buy these credits from Tesla or anyone else.
And please, all the car manufacturers are going full blast into EV because they know and realized the demise and obsolescence of ICE - except that everyone but Tesla is way ahead in EV and battery technology.
The government has no right to give anybody carbon credits to sell. GM and Chrysler have the right to produce what they want and let the free market decide what sells.
Al Gore lives his lavish lifestyle and puts a lot more carbon into the atmosphere than the average person. He gets rich because the greenies are naïve enough to think he cares.
