Are the axles actually different though? The Ram axles are the exact same between 2500 and 3500, but can be rated between 1000 lbs to 500 lbs different, depending on wheel combo. I don't know enough about the new Fords (way too expensive for me to even research!!!) to know if there is an actual difference.
I think the diesel 350 gets a different axle than the gas 350 or any 250 on the new Ford. The diesel 350 axle might be the size of the AAM in the GM/Ram HD trucks. I believe the Ford previously was always a bit smaller.
