I just renewed my tags here in Tennessee, $14.75. Tags are not required for boat trailers, small trailers, etc. I feel safe with a tag on the rear. On my small two wheel trailer tags are not required. I bought it at TSC and went to get the title changed to my name....then they said...if you do that, then you are going to have to tag it. Some inspections are good...what if your trailer was stolen and someone else had to get it inspected?
