- NamMedevac_70Explorer IICyber Truck Another niche market toy item for wealthy. Rivian is in financial trouble and the Hummers are not that common in Reno. Not practical for towing. According to reviews civilian Hummers perform poorly in actual off road and heavy-duty ops. I read these reviews many years ago, but they are still out there on Google search. Lost interest in video after a minute of smack talk. Cheers to those with com
- Grit_dogNavigatorSaw another Riv yesterday. Parked where could take a good look at it. Nice car (it ain’t really a truck) albeit ugly as a red headed step child….but the bigger takeaway is how small they actually are.
- blt2skiModeratorI've seen a few of the rivians too. Not sure I'm calling them as ugly as grit. There more of a mid sized pickup SUV sized rig. Not sure a 4' bed is worth having. I'd want a 6' minimum.
Not sure if I'm seeing the same one(s) per say, have seen enough to say there are many here in greater Seattle area. Multiple colors. Just like Tesla, some colorsi like, some are just plain fugly....
I could be seen in one of these, that Tesla pickup.....no thanks.
Marty - Turtle_n_PeepsExplorerMarty; Grit mentioned car and how small it was. Do you know if they have a ladder type frame under them? Do they really have a 4'bed? Dang!
I was shocked the first time I sat in a Volt. Man that thing was small inside. - blt2skiModeratorNot positive about body frame.
I parked next to one, didn't get that involve with checking it out.
Jeep has a four door pickup bed rig, similar in stature, rivians is a bit smaller. If power etc is with in, I'd pull an upwards of 20-24' trailer with dual 3500 axles with it. Would not want to go much larger. Too much tail, not enough dog.
Four would sit very comfortable in it. Three smaller people in the back. A 7' Shaq O'Neal is not going to fit in it. If it had an ICE in it, it would sell also. Be a reasonable thing to have. It's not going to keep up with a full size 15 series rig towing hauling etc. It has a place
I'm not going to use red headed anything, or my 15 month old grand daughter would be insulted, as would auburny haired mom, grandmother upset using his figure of speech insult.
It's better looking that pictures make it IMHO.

Just saw a Canadian built "Escape" brand dual axle trailer. 8-7.5' wide 8' tall, 18' or so long. Swag axles were 2500 lbs or so. Perfect sized trailer for a Rivian.
Even if the Rivian has a unibody frame. Assuming engineers designed it correctly, I'd pull it.
R-Pod trailers are another brand style that would fit behind a Rivian too.

Yah. And the T@Bs as well. We ran into some folks from Washington in a provincial park in BC pulling a T@B400 like ours in the picture. He felt a comfortable range would be around 300 kilometres towing it behind their Rivian, although just like us the distance is more set by the spacing of the DC fast chargers. Our comfortable range is more like 200 kilometres although the instrumentation says it’s probably closer to 240 kilometres. Didn’t have much time but it looked nice and seemed to have tons of useable storage. Really nice little truck for towing a small 18 footer trailer like ours.- NamMedevac_70Explorer IILove those tear drops. Maybe one for me at Christmas. That must be one powerful little EV.

To be fair, they look pretty cool minus the front clip. IMO
But on a scale of 1 to Cybertruck for ugly, they are beautiful! - Grit_dogNavigator
