YIKES. Todays truck prices are really testing the limits of how much we will spend on our transportation.
In 1962, i purchased a Dodge, 2500 series, HD manual trans, i think with the 318 CU V -8 for less than $2,100 dollars, and that was a NEW truck. My 1998.5 Dodge 2500 series, Cummins powered, loaded was a little less than 30,000 grand.
I'll bet your take home pay wasn't anything to write home about either back then...as compared to todays wages.
