If I ever buy another camper I have 3 areas that are musts or I keep walking.
1. Heavy duty main frame with heavy duty A frame and non flexing spring hangers.
2. Running gear to include: axles and springs capability of holding the entire GVWR of the camper plus a saftey factor. Also includes rubber equalizer, quality shock absorbers, self adjusting brakes and adjustable axle seats for axle alignment, LT tires capable of heaviest tire location plus 20% extra tire load capacity.
3. 2,500 to 3,000# cargo capacity.
Once past that base line criteria.
1. High quality camper build or forget it.
2. Walk on roof
3. Walk around bed.
4. 2 entry doors
5. Good sized bath, porcelain toilet, big shower
6. At least a couch,table slide
7. Table and chairs
8. 4 season package
9. Good sunlight to the inside
10. All windows open, (doors and front window are an exception.
Sorry that is more than 3, but it is the minimum list. There are more items but if we do not make it past these we will not make it to the rest.
When you buy your 2nd or 3rd etc camper you are a whole lot more educated. I feel sorry for the dealer already...He will have to earn his keep...
