Its been a discussion for us also. Pro's and Con's. We most always take our Pontoon boat when spending more than a night or two. We love to fish, so pulling a trailer is a must. The real negative has been the cramped dining area. I finally removed that and put in a reclining love seat, what a huge difference that made. We are excited again and looking forward to Novi Scotia later in the summer.
That sounds interesting. What are you using for a dining table? Are you still able to use the table on the pedestal/post that most TCs come with?
Really, my BIGGEST complaint about a TC is that there is no real comfortable place to sit for long periods for reading. Sometimes weather will force you inside or sometimes I get insomnia and want to read at night. The dinette ISNT comfortable.
I'll tell you what would be cool; to mount a couple of swiveling boat chairs with armrests on pedestals at opposing ends of the dinette area. The long dinette portion along the outside of the TC is a waste of space to us as we NEVER sit there and NEVER set up the dinette as a bed. The dinette table would have to be smaller and the chairs might be tight but comfortable seating in non-slide TC has yet to be invented.
