Where I live in Oregon gas is $3.29-$3.40. Diesel is $3.81. This summer everywhere I went except for a few place in Ca diesel was cheaper than gas. Gas is dropping fast around here but diesel is rising slightly. Go figure. I don't really care much about fuel prices till May or June when we start camping on a regular basis. It will even out again come summer next year.
