Here in Milwaukee gas is going for about $3.19/gal and diesel is about $3.85/gal. Diesel has almost always been higher here in this area, sometimes the margin closes. When gas prices spike the margin gets pretty small, now it seems to be getting larger as the "experts" are saying the demand for gas is dropping. Could be, less people traveling this time of year and the number of trucks moving freight up and down the road seems to be fairly stable hence an "even" demand for diesel, makes sense to me.
Bottom line, it doesn't matter that much, we can't live without gas OR diesel and the oil companies are going to keep on enjoying obscene profits weather we like it or not! My advice, start investing in big oil companies they always seem to make a profit and pay out decent dividends. Hey, if ya can't beat 'em, join 'em! LOL
