Did you have to adjust the feet to fit the pucks? I had 3 of mine needed to be moved just a hair to set with out putting any pressure to get them down. After that it goes in perfect.
One question is why did you set it forward with such a heavy trailer? Why shift weight forward instead of directly over the rear axle. Not saying its wrong just wondered why and if I should do the same. Thanks
Because that is the "proper placement" of a 5th wheel hitch. You want some weight going to the steer axle. What is amazing is with 5K pin I add less than 200# to the front axle.
If you go back to when hitches had to be installed without any factory attachment points and you had to setup the hitch the directions would call for the hitch to be placed 2" forward of center of rear axle.
On the B&W to get 2" ahead you hold the side plates full forward and have the straight "vertical" edges of the side plates that hold the head toward the front of the truck.
