Everyone has different experiences with tires for sure! My Dad's Generals on his RAM Dually 2wd look good with 27K. Mine had a tread separation and were 2/3 worn out at 25K. They had less tread than my pics of the Michelins above that had 40K on them.
I easily would get 100K+ on a set of 3rd gen BFG's on my 98 12V 2500 4X4 because I properly inflated them and rotated at every 15K. I ran 72 front and 45 rear solo. One set of Michelins I hit 120K. I have NEVER had a crack on a set of Michelins as some have reported.
Proper inflation is the key! 80 front ALL the time 40-45 solo rear and 60 loaded for me with 5K pin and you will get even results as I have posted in pics above. I only rotate the fronts side to side at 10 K intervals.
