Might be the cold, I haven't been in temps that cold. I had my truck in WVa this past Thanksgiving before going to TN, and temps were in single digits and it set out side...November of 13', we were there for 5 day's, truck set outside entire time with temps going to -5 below zero more then several times....Never had an issue...I will have had the truck two years on May 9th. and I have a little over 27,000 miles on it and only real issue I've had was to replace the windshield washer motor.....

You can reset the 8.4A or 8.4An by holding two big buttons in (volume/search, I believe) until screen goes black, you're doing a reset....
Do you have all the "latest and greatest" software updates on your system? I've had several software updates and a flash on my Aisin for rough shift from 2nd. to 1st...(didn't bother me, but when I took it in for a free oil change, they did the update).
Truck has been really reliable, no issues to speak of.....
