I wonder if some of the extra weight on your front axle vs Cummins's could be attributed to wheel base? Is your 5500 the same length as the 3500 drw?

Thank you! The 2 years will go by fast! We started wintering in CA the winter of 05/06 for 1-3 month until I retired in winter of 11/12.
My front axle is close to 400# heavier than my 11 was.
