That would not work for me since I need to get into the tool box also.
Gotcha...I don't need to get into my toolbox when hitching or unhitching, so not a bother for me...but actually with that step (step has adjustable height), I can step up high enough to get into the bed of my truck while hitched.
I have seen people use them they look like they work well!
