I ordered one of those steps that drops over outside rear wheel...a buddy of mine has one for his dually....It folds up, takes up very little room and when I need to unhitch the companion, I set the ladder over the outside tire and can step up high enough to unhitch and it's done...fold it back up, and put in the bed of the truck....his works great..
That sounds really good; I too find it difficult to reach over the fender to reach the release handle. Do you have a link to it? Thanks.
