Airstreams last longer than the payments. They did in the past make a slide out model. If looking 'preowned' you could look for one. Yea, you could buy five Jaycos or one Airstream that will outlast all five Jaycos and then some. You get what you pay for. There are some very nice RV's. All are expensive. You basically get what you pay for.

I think someone on this thread said a Jayco in his family lasted 30+ years. 5 Jaycos times 30 years - I think that's long enough for me.
I hope I'm wrong. I'd like to be the first man to live 200 years. :-)
