the one feature of my TC that I really hate

The space wasted in an already small bathroom by having a sink that no one ever uses.

A) The stupid Heki Skylight that once FELL ON MY HEAD. It's a love/hate relationship, though, because it does help with light and airflow. Good idea, horrid execution.

B) The stupid scissor stairs. My husband fell down them once, luckily, it was mostly just his pride hurt. I have almost fallen down them several times, I have learned to not go up or down with my hands full, but my time is gonna come. Also, they obstruct access to basement storage.

C) The stupid dinette that is not comfortable to sit or lay in, nor is it large enough to fit the boy, who is now 6' 5", nor do the arched pillow backs fit together or lay flat.

The rest of it is great.

Fresh water tank drain on 1993 Sunlite. Fresh if you consider 6 months fresh! Only use that water for washing. I use bottled water for drinking, cooking. The drain valve for the tank is difficult to turn and I am afraid I will break it if I twist it too hard. Yes, I have pumped the water out via the sink but worried I will burn out the pump. Need solution.

Dang, I really like that. How difficult was the conversion. It looks like your 845 has about the same layout as my 865.

Hey Buzz, haven't been to the forum in a bit, came back and saw this. Have you thought of putting a baseball cap right inside the outside compartment door. Then when you access that spot you might still see stars but you might not draw blood. Just a thought, Steve

My big issue with our S&S is the water tank drain cant be accessed while on the truck. More than once i have loaded her up and when fill her up with water, it starts draining outnthe back. Only way to shut the tank drain is to off load the TC and then reload.

I have documented how poor of quality the Dometic windows and Heki skylights are.

As good as they are as insulated windows in cold temps, they are equally poor in operability for ventilation... and don't dare leave them open even the slightest bit unattended... else an unexpected wind might damage them.
