I appreciate everyone's advice and information, and no, I'm not hurt or offended. There's a lot to know and we don't know it, or even what we don't know. So we are dependent on the kindness of strangers to help us figure it all out.
I still wish I could find a simple formula (A+B+C=D) that would help us when we plan our travels. But we bought a TT today and I think it will work out for us. We know that the previous owner of our TV towed a trailer, because everything is there except the "pigtail." And we don't intend to go anywhere near the stated towing capacity of the TV.
