- campincandiceExplorerLots of manufacturers forward you contact info when you spec out a coach on their websites. How else would they follow up on sales opportunities that ultimately keep them in business?
We LOVE our Open Range, and had a great dealer experience! - fx2tomExplorer

In thinking further on your post, I, personally, would not be happy with going online and then having any site forward my email address or any interest I might have to "one of their dealers".
I would suggest that you go online to either RVWholesalers, who we've bought both our HTT and TT from, or RVDirect and see if they sell what you're interested in. Both are reputable companies with a long line of satisfied customers. Remember that because a trailer carries a particular brand name, other lines may have a duplicate or close to it. It'll involve a bit of time looking at floorplans, but I'm getting a negative feeling about this whole thing....not to mention that I'd really like to see a physical address and any other info they could provide. Don't like doing business with someone out there in the cyberspace.
That's how all of the major auto manufacturers work as well. Nothing out of the oridnary - fx2tomExplorerIME with Richardson's all was positive. Sales guys are sales guys but they were not overly pushy. Actually took time to understand what abstract ideas we were looking for in a trailer and ended up showing us a whole bunch of them before we had a better idea what we wanted. We were extremely close to buying from them until we found our Surveyor and DW fell in love with it. We were looking at a FR Salem at Richardsons. We have friends who bought their RVs there (5'ers, TT's and Class C's - none with Class A's) and speak very highly of their service department.

Richardson's seems to do rather poorly as far as ratings go on their reviews but I'm sure that buying an RV is just like buying a car and I, like most people would rather not have to deal with sales people.

Since Jayco recently acquired OR that part seems legit that a Jayco Internet dealer would be able to offer OR as well.
The site says that they are a Jayco dealer and you can order Open Range though them. The thing that struck me odd is nowhere on their site is an actual address. I'm going to call Jayco and Open Range in the morning and see what they say. They had to get my e-mail address through the Open Range site when I built out the trailer. - Robin1953Explorer

You are probably right. I did a build out from the OR website as well and a few days later I a got an email from an RV dealer, they have been in business for several years, that was located in an area of the state about 200 miles from me. He said that he got the information from OR but he had a OR of the same model on his lot and wanted to know if I was interested. I actually went to look at the unit but it wasn't what I was looking to buy. I know nothing about RV Express but I do know that OR passes your build information along to dealers.
I built the trailer on the Open Range website and this company, The RV Express, sent me a quote. I have to imagine they got the build info and my e-mail from Open Range because I've never even been to their website.

- dadmomhExplorerI think what you're saying is you "spec'd out a trailer" - built to your specifications - from this dealer. The quote was very good, but you can't get any info on the dealer....is this about right?? Personally have never heard of them. RVWholesalers and RVDirect are the top two in that type of sales on this forum and also Hybrid Explorer.
RE the price....it should be about 30% off of MSRP, which is a mostly fictional number....kind of like MSRP from a car dealer. Strongly suggest you contact the BBB in the state where this company is located and see if they have any negative reports. If you are financing the trailer, find out which lender - if they're handling that for you - and contact that lender for feedback. They may be perfectly legit, but just new in this online sales....OTOH. I would not part with a penny until you feel comfortable. Good luck and let the buyer beware. - bluie5ExplorerIf you Google RV Express you get several hits. It looks like they are the Internet sales sites for large dealerships.
