This has to be it. Washer nozzles in the hood. Whoever came up with this retarded idea should be FIRED!!! First it was the imports back in the 80's. Now every American OEM, GM, Ford and Chrysler...

Dumbest I have seen? In the 60's, Dodge Dart with a slant six cylinder engine.
You have to remove the whole air filter assembly to access the dipstick and check the oil.
Do you know how many miles the larger 225 slant six motor was good for?
It had steel cylinders pressed into the base of the block with complete and even 360 degree cooling of the cylinder. The head held the top of the cylinder in place. They lasted hundreds of thousands of miles.

Let's be clear here! The slant six engines with the cylinder liners were aluminum blocks with an open deck that caused major issues. All the slant six engines in the trucks were cast iron blocks. :W
This 6 had a 4 bolt main that wasn't confidence inspiring either.
