I know I would definitely option up if the 6.2 was only a 6 speed.
That is a good point, and while I don't know for sure, I'd guess the 6.2 models will use the 6-speed for now. My 6-speed works great for me, well spaced, with no feel, that more between options are needed. I lock out 6th when towing heavier, and don't have a lot of up/down shifting.
