The verdict is in! DRW vs SRW....real world

Today's setup

Last months setup

After getting the new rig setup with tie downs etc and finally getting a chance to install the swing outs and load up the camper I was flat out floored.

Buying the dually was money very well spent! Had I listened, and done this sooner I would have saved the $5000 or so I spent on the SRW truck trying to get it to handle the 990 better. I thought I did a great job until I drove the new setup today.

WOW! Loving it!
Thanks all! Now it's time to get camping again!

  • Hehhe, Yah, that was the problem I had initially...
If you get this... You'll need to ADD these...
Sigh, it became a buy truck and then get it upgraded...

So just went with the dually... and no complaints... after almost 4 yrs full timing... works great...

    Happy trails...

The Dually is box stock and handles the AF990 with ease and comfort. I'm confident after some mixed driving that it totally outperforms the modded up SRW in cornering, sway in use (camping without jacks down), cornering, Interstate driving under windy conditions and more. It's simple better!

The SRW had air bags, stables loads upper and lower, Hellwig bigwig rear sway bar, adjustable shocks, 4080lb tires and more! Even moved the spare up front and it just does not compare to the dually.

So if in doubt, take my word for it, the stock 2019 DRW F350 smokes the 2010 F350 SRW hands down.
