I am looking for a way to ensure that my refrigerator is maintaining a safe temperature. It seems as though it randomly freezes beverages.
Has anyone seen or used a thermometer that has an indication of the highest temperature it's seen? I'm thinking that if I have something like that, as long as the max temperature never goes above 40-45, I'd feel a lot better about storing actual food in the fridge and not just drinks.
I use one of the 'laser' infrared thermometers you can pick up just about anywhere (home improvement centers, Harbor Freight, Northern Tool). Allows you to get readings from all over the interior of the box......and comes in handy if you're concerned about tire and bearing temps on your trailer while going down the road.
BTW: Do you have one of those little fans installed on the fins in the fridge compartment that limits frost/ice buildup on them. Very helpful with cooling efficiency in the fridge section.
