Just attempted to install a Honeywell 6450 programmable and followed every bit of advice/information that I could find. Really, it's pretty straight forward, but only used 4 of the 6 wires in my bundle. Turned the power on, the tstat lit up, set the parameters, turned on auto fan and cool, .........and nothing; no fan, no ac, no furnace. I've worked on this off and on for 4 - 5 hours. I called Honeywell twice and they don't know what's wrong either; maybe a faulty unit. I've read 20 - 30 posts about wiring a honeywell and no one, except me, has had a problem. This **** really gets old!
