You are purpoely neglecting one major thing from his post though. His issue is not a diesel or emission specific issue, but rather from a bearing which all engines have even your Ecoboost. That is like trying to blame the Ecoboost misfire due to intercooler moisture or timing chain grenadine the engine as a reason not to buy any gas engine even though diesels also have intercoolers and some have timing chains.
Also, the very fact that you would even post here kind of proves the diesel "sour grapes". Most people that don't care about something wouldn't even take the time to respond.
