I said most as in most people, myself included. However, if you would have continued reading what I posted then you see where I said that some go by actual data as a whole instead of only what they want to see. I am making my assumption based on own experiences of my current modern diesel versus past diesels, the repairs of my companies 500+ diesel and gas truck fleet, and the trucks that comes through our medium duty dealerships nation wide. What are you basing yours on?
As I said before, from what I have seen, if the truck is used like a truck then gas engines seem to require more repairs. If it is used a grocery getter with lot of idling and short trips then diesels tend to have more repairs.
