2012 F-350 6.7 SWR SBCB. 84K miles. Only one engine problem fixed under warranty: noisy vacuum line to waste gate control solenoid. Actually not a functional problem, just an obnoxious noise. One recall for regeneration program. Had the exhaust temperature sensors replaced with improved design at my expense to minimize risk of failure on the lone prairie.
One son has powerstroke 7.3 with the 4R100 transmission that pukes fluid every time he backs up on a hot day. Had to have the cam sensor replaced and some oil leaks fixed. This engine has 63% the power of mine and gets worse fuel mileage.
Other son has an F-350 with the 6.2 gas engine, which he loves. It ran 62K miles in the Canadian oil fields and at 135K is running strong. He tows very little and can't justify the up front cost of the diesel. Says he never will have a diesel and can tow 12,000 lb with ease, but doesn't get up to speed quite as fast as me.
