Duly Noted - That makes it your own opinion with the same validity as everyone else's. What it's based upon doesn't matter if no one can peer review the basis for your opinion.
Pay for it or come work for me and you can see it all you want.
However, the reason why I made this thread was because a few members(who do not own modern diesels) kept saying they were not as reliable which is why I decided to get first hand responses from actual owners and not from someone who heard it from his neigbor's brother's cousin's nephew. I take actual owners responses with more validity over non owners. So if you have a 2010+ diesel then you are more then welcome to respond with the issues you have had with it.
Sorry, had to step in here. I did have a modern diesel, the first of the smogged diesels. A 6.0 PowerStroke. And it did have problems. I don't need to see your data. Your data sounds good.
Your presentation could use a little polish, though. You have a unique position to view this subject. The previous point that diesels need to be worked and gas can handle the stop & go and long idle times, seems to come into play here as well. I used my diesel about 95% for daily driving. Which may have contributed to some of it's problems. It does seem that there are more engine related TSBs for diesels, though. You would be in a position to see that. What do you think?
