Someone above made mention of spelling errors - such as "break" instead of "brake" - my comment was addressing that and other common spelling errors. I don't proofread these posts, I'm just anal and usually catch the auto-type as soon as it happens.
I will acknowledge that a lot of younger folks are very dependent upon spell-check and don't know how to spell correctly themselves. But, I don't think that's worse than the older people who don't know how to spell and don't know how to use spell-check.
I agree about grammar and no use of punctuation (or paragraphs). It makes it very difficult to read and comprehend. But, in the end, the only one it hurts is the person who wrote it. They get fewer responses, many of which are simply to berate them for the poorly written post.
As for run-on sentences, I have a co-worker who thinks that any sentence more than 10 words is a run-on sentence. Drives me nuts when she proofreads something for me - she'll miss actual spelling and grammar errors, and call this one out for being a run-on sentence.
