I hate being rushed into that kind of decision like you are in. Given more time I would recommend like Opie431 said to see if a non-bunkhouse is right for your family. After selling yours, then will you be rushed into finding your next one? I spent 2 years researching before purchasing my TT. We've had it 5 years, into our 6th summer now. When we bought it I thought we would have changed it by now and were planning to over last winter. But I've looked prices of what we like now compared to what we could get for ours and decided ours is clearly meeting our needs.
One thing is clear, you don't like your current TT. I don't know where the $2000 came from, but if you can afford to change TTs to find something that fits you better, go for it! It's your family vacation time so you should all be happy.
