Our kids are much older than yours,18 &20 but still camp with us most of the time. Looked at bunkhouses when we purchased two years ago but impractical for kids that age and tall. Decided a rear living was perfect, dd gets the trifold sofa bed and ds gets the u-shaped dinette bed. They are situated to the rear of tt so we have no problem using kitchen while they are sleeping in the a.m.
DH and I are pretty early to bed,to my kids the large living area with the 42" tv is great space for them. We close our bedroom door and don't hear a peep.Better than a bunkhouse to them!
A couple things to consider, the tri-fold pull out sofas are not very large. May fit both your kids now but not for long. Really only practical for one adult size person. We love our u-shaped dinette, our son is 6'2 and wouldn't fit well on the typical booth dinette made into a bed. Consider your kids will be growing fast, plan ahead.
