Thinking of putting in larger fresh water tank

I wish I had a bigger fresh tank for the same reason you do.

I can't say how the sensor works until you get the tank out and look at it. My sensor is actually probes stuck through the side of the tank. If yours is the same you will have to drill holes in the tank to mount the probes.
