I can't comment on having to do the repair because I have an 02, they put more threads in the head in 02, maybe even very late 01? If the repair was done right then you should be good to go! Be aware that you will have others blow down the road. A lot of early V-10 owners carry the repair kit with them. My buddy has a 99 class A with he V-10. He had one blow out on him 5 miles from home. He turned around and went back home, bought the kit, fixed it and left for his trip about 2 hours later. He had another one blow out on a trip, and did that repair in a rest stop.
