Just sitting around thinking, that's dangerous, have you looked at how the hard side pop up campers fold? They are triangular and the folding system might be a help to your construction. Chalet, Aliner, and Forest River if there are any of them around you close.
I'm a little confused, what part is dangerous? - trailgranny50ExplorerJust sitting around thinking, that's dangerous, have you looked at how the hard side pop up campers fold? Another TCer was wondering about how these things work. Possibly wanted to build his own.
Aye, that would be me. I think I'm going to go with a different design for mine to reduce the complexity of the assembly, unless by miracle an Amerigo comes up being parted out. As Montgomery Scott said, "The complicated the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the pipes." :)
I likely pattern mine after the KampKing version. - seaeagle2Explorer
- Wagonqueen_TrucExplorerAmerigo is out of business and I thought they had the patent on this particular fold out... I know a couple of the TC manufacturers make TC's with a tent that goes out the rear.
- mdw60Explorerwhy do they not make them anymore?
