You're right to look for a vehicle with the tow package, since it may have included extra cooling or other helpful features. I feel the same way.
I've been looking at Jeep Grand Cherokees. I noticed that the 2011 and 2012 Grand Cherokees with V8 all included a tow package. Or you can search for ones with the 'Off Road Adventure II' package, which I believe should include tow package on the V6 models. Durangos may be similarly equipped, not sure. These would handle a popup with great ease. If you buy a certified pre-owned, you can also buy lifetime maximum care coverage from Chrysler (good if you plan to keep it for a long time).
Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey are also good minivans that can tow. And I have a '08 Toyota Highlander that I've used to tow for more than 100,000 miles (odometer is at 179K) with few problems.
