I have that same vehicle except it is a 2016 model. Our trailer is about 7,000 lbs fully loaded and yes it is within our payload. We really don't have a lot of trouble with it but it is just my wife and I in the vehicle. You will need a good hitch. We use the Husky Centerline. You can see a picture in my profile. It is a pleasant one handed drive.
