My vehicle is a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ 4WD, powered by a 5.3LV-8 with an axel ratio of 3.42. So according to what I can find, it's rated for 8400 max.
If you think just because your tow capacity says 8400, means you can hitch up a TT weighing 8K and go happily down the road, your in for a big surprise. Good advice given to pay attention to payload and how to calculate tongue weight, along with finding a scale to weigh the TV loaded up for camping - google Cat Scale Locator.
Your mythical tow capacity number was calculated using a flat trailer with weights and a 150 lb driver - nothing like pulling a high walled TT down the road.
