Ok, I guess I'll join in on the actual AirStream bashing.
There isn't cooler than a totally polished within an inch of its life AirStream. They're blinding and impressive!
However wood floors are a no go and SO uncool! This is 2014 and for a mfg like AirStream to be using wood floors and not composites is a shame and puzzling!
There, I said it!

WG, you need to get past your material phobias. The floors in your house are made with wood, there are many wood boats still floating, there are many Airstream (and other) vintage trailers still on the road with a wood floor.
Sure, we'd all like to have the space shuttle on the ball of of our TV but wood floors are not that bad of an application. FWIW, I pulled all of the 5/8" plywood floor up in my 40 yr. old Starcraft. It was necessary to replace one piece that was under the water heater. The rest was cleaned up and screwed back down since I can't buy plywood that was as good as the original.
If flooring fails, it's another indicator of poor maintenance and repair, not an indicator of disposable trailers. Like Nypatnva shared, most owners use their rig for two weeks a year and don't touch them until the following camping season. Even a small water leak, left unattended, will wreak havoc.
